Colourpop 'Super Shock Shadow' Review & Swatches

Friday, May 13, 2016

Hi everyone!! Recently Colourpop had a 20% off everything sale and it was amazing. I used that opportunity to purchase a few eye shadows that I've always wanted. After waiting the entire day to enter the website, I finally got through. I placed my order on a Saturday night and didn't receive my package until the following week. The shades that I purchased were Coconut, Flower Shop, Nillionaire, Weenie and Sequin. What I love so much about Coloupop's eyeshadows are their affordability and their pigmentation.

Coconut is such a beautiful shade of blue. Colourpop describes it as a "Bright peacock teal in a Pearlized finish" which it is. The shade is so pigmented and gorgeous. When you shine light on it, the shade becomes more of a statement color. This shade will look good against any skin tone. I guarantee you that if you wet your brush before applying, the color would pop even more. This shade is great for a smokey eye look.

Flower Shop is a pretty mermaid shade. It is wonderful for a spring and summertime look. The color is bright and pigmented as well. There are various of eye looks that can be achieved from using this color alone. It is a pearlized finish and very easy to use.

Omg, I don't know where to start off with Sequin. Sequin is a rose gold, copper like shade. When I saw swatches of this shade, I knew I had have it before it was sold out. The shade glides on easily and you can make this shade as bright or as light as you want. It's nice and glittery and can be used for any look. Honestly the picture does this shade no justice, it's just something that you all should buy and see the beauty of it through your eyes.

Weenie and Sequin are similar but sequin has more color than weenie. Weenie is a rose gold shade and it's simply beautiful. It has a very smooth texture and just the right amount of sparkle. This is another go to shade that everyone should have in their collection. It' so pigmented and will look good against any skin tone or eye color. Remember if you want this colors to pop even more, just damp your brush a little and apply.

Here are the swatches of the shades listed above. They are so beautiful in their own way. The fact that I only paid $4.00 for each shade is really mind-blowing.

I encourage you all to go and purchase some shadows if you enjoyed this post. If you're looking for pigmented affordable shadows, this is the site for you. Colourpop will not let you down!! Their packaging is very cute and I love how they write personal handwritten letters on the back of the thank you card. Shipping is relatively quick and of course the price is suitable for any and everyone. I will definitely be purchasing more and when I do, I will do another post on them. If you guys have any questions you are more than welcomed to leave a comment or email me.
Thank you and enjoy !! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

  1. Hi! Would you recommend Sequin or Weenie? As both colours seem similar think I'll just buy one of them. Thanks!
